The degradation of our American presidency continues > Is he nuts or just confused?

By John Sykes

I’m beginning to think that our Obfuscator-In-Chief has truly lost any sense of what’s really up. He looks lost. He’s often not making sense. He grasps at straws. Demagoguery seems to be his only strategy. Obfuscation his only hope. If he loses his teleprompters, which still can’t seem to keep him straight, he may soon frighteningly lash out or melt-down in a very ugly mess. It’s truly saddening to watch this degradation of our American presidency.

He picks the strangest fights. The LA times in Obama: Occupy Wall Street protests show Americans' [“broad based”] frustration:

“I think it expresses the frustrations the American people feel, that we had the biggest financial crisis since the Great Depression, huge collateral damage all throughout the country … and yet you’re still seeing some of the same folks [code for "Tea Parties] who acted irresponsibly trying to fight efforts to crack down on the abusive practices that got us into this in the first place,” he [Obama] said.

Then he makes sure he doesn’t forget to demogogue. At beforeitsnew.com:

So, more than 750 people being arrested in a dozen cities nationwide is just fine with President Obama, because their movement “expresses the frustrations” felt by the American people due to the financial crisis.  When it comes to the Tea Party, however, with one arrest out of millions of Americans who have gathered at hundreds of events, the president dismisses the movement as “extreme”, motivated by race, and bent on espousing views which are rejected by “a vast majority of Americans.”

He often gets lost in his rhetoric and obfuscations as in FactCheck: Obama claims miss some evidence:

In challenging Republicans to get behind his jobs bill Thursday, President Barack Obama argued Republicans have supported his proposals before, demanded that they explain themselves if they oppose him, and challenged others to come up with a plan of their own. The rhetoric in the president's quick-moving press conference dodged some facts and left some evidence in the dust.

He keeps losing it in the simplest of situation like in FAIL: Teacher Cited in Obama Sob Story Actually Has a Job!:

“In the last few years, he’s received three pink slips because of budget cuts. Why wouldn’t we want to pass a bill that puts somebody like Robert back in the classroom teaching our kids? … But, Baroz is working in the Boston Public Schools this year as a middle school English teacher.

He’s truly losing it and I don’t just mean the 2012 election. This is saddening and scary!
