Conservative on Target

Supreme Court Stands Up For Freedom: The Court upheld lower court decisions and revoked the law, ruling that video games were protected speech under the First Amendment. No one in their right mind would endorse the sale of these games to minors; in fact, many people believe that no one in their right mind (of any age) should even play these games. But the issue was whether the government has the right to restrict their sale, or whether the responsibility for such restrictions belongs in the hands of parents. What the high court really concluded is that government is not in the parenting business, and that Moms and Dads should get their fat carcasses off the couch, monitor what their kids are doing, and learn how to say NO.

OBAMA: Congress Is Apparently Too Stupid To Understand My Jobs Bill, So We're Going To Simplify It For Them: [I keep wondering how the Democrat Party expects to win with their own Presidunce running against them? – JS]
Several hundred Occupy Wall Street protesters were arrested over the weekend after refusing police orders to leave public areas. In Rome, protests turned into riots, causing $1.4 million in damage. [Total OWS arrests in the US are now over 1000 and rising. Known Tea Party arrests appear to be 1 since inception 3 years ago! – JS]
Proof! Wall Street protests no 'spontaneous uprising' > Major demonstration directed by leftist shadow organization: A public relations firm closely partnered with the George Soros-funded Tides Foundation represented last week's anti-Wall Street march past millionaires' homes in New York, WND has learned. Fenton Communications has been behind the public relations strategy of a who's who of far-left causes, organizations and activists, from Soros himself to Health Care for America Now to crafting strategies for MoveOn.org and a litany of anti-war groups.
"I want the people of America to be able to work less for the government and more for themselves. I want them to have the rewards of their own industry. This is the chief meaning of freedom. Until we can reestablish a condition under which the earnings of the people can be kept by the people, we are bound to suffer a very severe and distinct curtailment of our liberty."
-- Calvin Coolidge [And Calvin thought they were in trouble then…? – JS]
