Mr. President, Stop Feeding Your Best to the Wolves > Graham pleads for justice for a DOJ-railroaded retired CIA, Special Forces operator: Dear President Obama, As a former CIA paramilitary operations officer, I worked for two of your predecessors. One was a staunch defender of the US Constitution. The other was more occupied with the New World Order. During that time I also worked for two different Directors of Central Intelligence. One was a man I respected greatly, one who understood the origins and importance of the Central Intelligence Agency and the real threat of our greatest enemy of the last century… The other was a boy scout who would have better served his country by remaining a judge or Director of the FBI. The present scapegoating by Atty. Gen. Eric H. Holder Jr., reminds me of those later counterproductive days, when those thinking heavily-fought for privileges afforded American citizens should be also given our most deadly foreign enemies on foreign soil, and that we need to be more like the Euros. Common Sense: The Empire Strikes Back > United Nations treaty will control American firearms, gun rights: … LaPierre and Kilgannon make clear that including civilian firearms in the ATT is unacceptable to the NRA and Freedom Alliance. Whether that will be sufficient to convince the Obama administration remains to be seen. But there is some good news in all of this… When an empire struck at Americans in 1775, they knew what to do. Let's hope we still do.
The Voodoo Magic of Supply-Side Economics > Reagan's numbers really didn't add up - but it worked anyway.:The Reagan boom wasn't caused by his economic polices, although they helped. His prosperity came because he made Americans feel good about themselves. What about the Clinton boom? … The Clinton period of "benign neglect" let the economy boom, proving Reagan's point that the American people will do just fine for themselves if government just stays off their backs and stops changing the rules. It's the economy, stupid - but what the economy needs is cheerleading more than it needs any specific policy. Mr. Obummer is the wettest wet blanket in living memory, casting doom and gloom at every opportunity. No boom for him!
Democrat Congressman Admits Debt Limit Debate Is a ‘Charade’: Pete Stark (D-CA) told an audience Saturday morning that the Debt Limit debate is a ‘’political charade’. Not exactly anything that President Obama wants the American people to hear while he’s trying to convince them of the utter, complete and immediate need to raise the limit… “The fact is I think it’s a political charade… I’m afraid that the Democrats have done that in the past, threatened to shut down the government. I don’t think there’s a chance that it will happen… we all know we have more debt than we should be carrying …”
Illegal immigrant college students in California will now have access to privately funded financial aid under a new measure signed into law by Gov. Jerry Brown (D). Brown says he is inclined to support a measure granting those students access to state-funded tuition assistance, as well.
YES! > Obama losing support from base: Obama is losing support from his base, according to a new Washington Post/ABC News poll released on Tuesday that finds his backing from liberals and African-Americans has plummeted. The percentage of liberal Democrats who strongly support the president’s job policies has dropped in the past year, from 53 percent to 31 percent, the poll shows. The falloff among blacks is even more stark: From 77 percent supporting his record on the economy last year to just over 50 percent in 2011. Overall, 52 percent of adults polled disapprove of the president’s handling of the economy > President Obama's job approval rating continues its grim slide. The Gallup Poll shows last week's average at 43% approval, tied for the lowest weekly average approval rating of his presidency so far. > But Congress takes the cake with a New Low: 6% Think Congress Is Doing A Good or Excellent Job!
What Is Anders Breivik? The Oslo terrorist is neither Christian nor conservative.: On Friday morning Breivik wrote that "today you will become immortal." He seems to have meant it literally. Whatever else might be said of that particular longing, it can hardly be called religious (what then would be the point of an afterlife?), or Christian (murdering children en masse is not a tenet of any Christian faith), or conservative (a political tendency that is fundamentally anti-utopian)… there ought to be no question as to what he is: evil incarnate.
A Leadership Default > The President blames House Republicans for everything.: Mr. Obama wants to avoid any accountability for the spending blowout of the last three years that has raised the national debt held by the public—the kind we have to pay back—from 40% in 2008 to 72% next year, and rising. This will be the real cause of any downgrade. Speaker John Boehner made clear in his speech that the GOP doesn't want a default but wants more genuine cuts in spending. Mr. Obama is betting his rhetoric will cause the public to turn against the GOP, but we wonder if voters will be persuaded by a man whose concept of leadership is the politics of blame.
How We Pay for Obama Failures: Well I’m tired of the “shared sacrifice” that bankrupts the rest of the country while it enriches the Obama administration, the Democrats in both houses of Congress, unions, the NLRB, the EPA, the Federal Reserve, Barney Frank, Harry Reid, Bill Gross, Warren Buffet, George Soros, environmentalists, the GLBT lobby, the Department of Energy, the Department of Education, Fannie and Freddie, the AARP and most of Cook County, Illlinois. It’s time for Obama to eat his own peas. It’s well past time. He's the guy that cooked them.
On August 17, 1945, George Orwell's Animal Farm was published. It's so easy to read, even liberals can understand it. Donate two dozen or so copies to your kids' class. Make sure to underline the passage where Orwell encapsulates the hypocrisy of the liberal notion of social justice: "All animals are equal. But some animals are more equal than others."
